Royal Derby Hospital

Royal Derby Hospital was one of the first tranche of PFI hospitals in the UK.

This involved the remodelling and redevelopment of the old hospital site. The new development was 155,000 m² and comprises 35 operating theatres, a treatment centre for day patients, a children’s ward, and a gynaecological department.

Our scope of works included the installation of the fire alarm and PAVA systems. At the time, when we secured the sitewide contract, this was the largest fire alarm contract awarded in the UK.

Marcoe successfully delivered the project in 2009.
