A new state-of-the-art R&D facility located in Cambridge on the Biomedical Campus.
The building comprises 20,000 sq m laboratories, offices and amenities for 2,000 scientists over 6 floors and is considered an architectural centrepiece for the campus.
We commenced work on the project in 2017 when we secured the entire LV electrical installation to the Shell & Core throughout the building.
Our scope of works included the primary containment, submain cabling, LV panels, distribution boards, secondary containment, small power and lighting, electrical busbars and composite distribution boards to all floors.
Our Senior Authorising Engineer implemented the Electrical Safe Systems of Work for the three HV Substations, six Electrical Risers and critical rooms such as SER, UPS and ICT Rooms. Our sitewide AP duties were undertaken in accordance with Mace’s Electrical Safety Rules and Procedures.
This project is due for completion in 2022.
